The Pack Committee Chair is appointed by the Chartered Organization to oversee the Pack Committee. The Chair provides support to Cubmasters and Den Leaders to ensure a quality program. The Chair is one of the "Key 3" members of the pack. The Chair's primary responsibilities include the following:
Host monthly Pack Committee meetings.
Ensure committee positions are filled and assign duties to committee members.
Recharter the Pack each year.
Ensure all leaders are up to date on Youth Protection Training
Be the pack's liaison to the Chartered Org Representative
The Secretary's primary responsibilities include the following:
Keep minutes for Pack Committee meetings and distribute them to the Pack Committee in a timely manner.
Send out emails to the Pack for upcoming Pack events and Committee meetings.
Maintains an inventory of Pack-owned equipment.
Write thank you notes to anyone who provides help to the Pack and take care of other correspondence.
The Membership Chair's primary responsibilities include the following:
Maintain the Pack roster.
Collect new member applications and turn them in to the district/council.
Collect and keep an organized binder of medical forms from all Pack members.
Bring medical forms to all Pack events.
Assist Committee Chair with rechartering the Pack each year.
The Treasurer's primary responsibilities include the following:
Maintain the Pack bank account.
Accept and track annual dues and other payments.
Deposit checks and other funds into the Pack account.
Produce checks or other means of payment for Pack expenses.
Maintain and produce financial report(s) for Committee meetings.
The Advancement Chair's primary responsibilities include the following:
Accept requests for advancement materials from den leaders.
Purchase badges and other advancement items from the Scout Shop.
Deliver advancement items to the Cubmaster and den leaders for presentation at monthly Pack meetings, AoL crossover ceremony, or Blue and Gold Banquet.
Organize and maintain an inventory of surplus awards, uniforms, and other advancement materials.
